The Harrison Specialty Care Clinic team hosted an outdoor, socially distanced lunch for our sub-contractors to celebrate the project's topping out, as well as 200 days with no time-loss injuries!
The Specialty Care Clinic will consolidate a number of Harrison Health Partners specialty care practices currently housed in an array of aging buildings surrounding the existing Bremerton campus, into a single modern facility. The building is situated within walking distance of the hospital facilitating back and forth travel for those providers who spend part of their week in the interventional suite or treating inpatients. Both floors of the two-story clinic will use a divergent flow model with exam pods (to the east and west) and diagnostic and procedure rooms in the center. We are grateful for our team that has been flexible and solution oriented to keep our essential project teams safe. Our Safety Coordinator, Joey Bolinger, is one of many that went above and beyond to make sure the few essential projects sites that remained open during the shut down had everything in place to comply with the CDC and local jurisdiction regulations.
A COVID-19 response plan for this project, and other "essential" Rush Commercial Construction projects, was created to keep our teams as safe as possible. This plan includes a "COVID-19" task force that meets every day to assess the current environment of the pandemic and to communicate out new protocols and information to the project team. To properly social distance, "crew teams" were created with a goal of 5 team members in the same trade (still practicing 6 feet apart distancing) that are identified by colored tape on their hard hats. These teams work solely with their team members and use the same tool box to not cross contaminate with other teams. Cross training has also been a focus so that, in the event of someone missing work, other team members are able to jump in. This response plan is extensive and includes other items such as hygiene and control protocols to keep team members healthy and the project moving forward.
We are proud of the stringent guidelines that have been put in place to ensure that our Rush Team Members, and subcontractors/trades are all as safe as possible from Coronavirus exposure. Keep up the great work!
