First, always replace damaged electrical cords to ensure safety and prevent potential hazards. Overloading circuits can also be a problem, especially with space heaters, which draw too much power. If temperatures are uncomfortable, let Rush Properties know instead of resorting to personal heaters. To save on energy costs, make it a habit to turn off lights and equipment when they're not in use. Additionally, consider upgrading to LED lighting, as LED fixtures last much longer and maintain brightness, minimizing the need for replacements and reducing downtime.

2. Fire, Life, and General Safety

Fire safety is another critical aspect of office maintenance. Make sure to visually inspect fire extinguishers in your suite monthly. Investing in simple tools like buckets, mini-sink plungers, and sink strainers can help you manage minor clogs and prevent bigger issues. Don’t forget about the air intake vents—vacuum them regularly to keep them clear of dust and ensure they are not obstructed by smoke detectors. Finally, keep up with regular equipment maintenance, such as Class 1 hood cleaning and dryer vent cleaning, to ensure everything is running smoothly.
