What’s your favorite part of working for Rush?

Alena McClain, Marketing Specialist, The Rush Companies
Celebrating 5 Years at Rush
How has Rush evolved since you started?
Rush has continued to have their “best year ever” every year. We have expanded our product types and taken on really exciting projects like our St. Michael Medical Pavilion project. Our culture has continued to strengthen over time, especially with the implementation of "The Link" our internal website that keeps everyone in the loop. I’ve watched us hone in on what we do best and we’ve evolved our processes and created cross-divisional teams to share information and deepen bonds between our teammates.
Steve Danard, Superintendent, Rush Commercial

What’s your favorite part of working for Rush?
Work – life balance.
Sarah DeKoning, Project Engineer, Rush Commercial
Celebrating 5 Years at Rush
How has Rush evolved since you started?
Rush has grown tremendously in all aspects since I began. The last few years alone we have put together committees to help the company grow, more volunteer opportunities, and restructuring within the company. Team members in the field hear more from the office side than when I first started, meaning we're in tune with events that are coming up, what’s going on with other projects, who’s accomplished what, etc.
Robin Maillet, Senior Project Manager, Rush Commercial
Celebrating 15 Years at Rush
What’s your favorite part of working for Rush?
The People!!
Rush has some of the finest employees I’ve worked with in 40 years.
Rush people work hard and play hard.
Rush people make great teammates.
Rush people truly support each other for the good of the project and company.
Rush people feel like family.
Lorene Lambro, Senior Designer, Rush Residential
Celebrating 10 Years at Rush
How has your role changed over the years?
As our portfolio became more diversified so did my job as the Designer. I started my career at Rush with one plat with starter to first move up homes and now 10 years later I can add multi-million dollar view homes, rental homes and clubhouse, as well as a wide variety of plats in various price points. It is really fun to be a part in the diversified products offerings. I am constantly challenged and learning which keeps things interesting.
Scott Walker, Vice President, Rush Residential
Celebrating 10 Years at Rush
How has your role changed over the years?
Just finishing up my 10 -year anniversary with Rush Residential has been a very rewarding time in my life. Reflecting back to August 2011 when this journey began, we were not quite out of a recession, and it allowed Gordon, Matt, and I to discuss what our vision was for the new future of Residential Home Building for The Rush Companies. While Rush had a long history of building custom homes and communities in selected areas over the previous 25 years, we decided our future was in creating lasting communities year after year and long into the future. This vision led us to significant investments in land acquisitions, and visioning surrounding several key pieces of land that the company had in inventory for many years. We created a new team of talented individuals and brought Rush Residential to life. 700 or so homes later, we continue to focus on our core strengths…creating communities and neighborhoods where people want to live and work, and helping people create personalized homes where they can raise families and make memories.
Carolyn Bilyeu, Senior Accountant, The Rush Companies

What’s your favorite part of working for Rush?
I love how much is given back to employees! Our leaders are generous and appreciative, and that means the world. The opportunities for employee investment are awesome and something both my husband and I anticipate and look forward to at any chance.

Residential has grown from managing operations via MS Office suite to a full ERP system and web scheduling portal. We have become more strategic in planning communities and upgrades. We have a branded App in the works to continue improving our customer experience.
